Allyson Felix
Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Her father Paul Felix is an ordained Minister in the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. And her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix's athletic talent was apparent from the time she started attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. Just 10 weeks after her initial tryout, she placed 2nd in the 200 meter event in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix agreed to sign a contract with Adidas for a career in professional sports with Adidas in 2003, and after that she enrolled at University of Southern California to study elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic medal in 2004 at the Summer Olympics that took place at Athens Greece. She established an Junior World Record doing 200 m in 22.18 second. Felix became the world's youngest champion in the 200m at the Helsinki World Championships and defended her title again in 2007, beating her long-time Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix participated at her first Olympics at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo always finishing in the top 3 in all her races.
