Allyson Felix

Allyson Nicole Felix was born November 18, 1985, located in Los Angeles. Paul Felix, her father, was an ordained pastor at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet school for children in the elementary grades. Felix's athletic talent was apparent from the time she was enrolled at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Felix finished second in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships within just 10 weeks, after the first time she tried out. Felix was signed to an official career at Adidas in 2003, and then enrolled at University of Southern California to pursue a degree in elementary education. Felix received her first Olympic gold at the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record running 200 meters for 22.18. In 2005, the Helsinki World Championships saw her becoming the youngest female to take home the 200 meters race. In 2007 she defended the title by beating her Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix competed in her first Olympics in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo consistently placing within the top three places in all her competitions.
